In order to promote the connection between innovative resources and market of universities and introduce the world innovative medical project, on April 10th, the Project Signing Ceremony of Chongqing-Medical-University-Circle Innovation Ecosystem & International Advanced Medical Technology Innovation Summit was held in Chongqing. WD Asia Nanjing team participated in this event at the invitation of the Canadian consulate in Chongqing and brought two excellent Canadian medical projects-“A Novel Solution for Control of Bleeding”, “Personalized cancer treatment selection device”. According to introducing, the innovation ecosystem of Chongqing medical university is centered on the innovation resources of Chongqing medical university and its affiliated hospitals and gathers innovation elements such as technology, talents, universities and enterprises. It will build “one center, one cluster, one chain and one fund”, realize the benign interaction between innovation elements, and break through the “last kilometer” of the transformation of scientific research achievements in universities and colleges. On the day of the event, the innovation ecosystem of Chongqing medical university signed contracts to introduce 22 medical innovation projects, 14 new medical industry chain companies and 4 biomedical venture capital funds with a total scale of 2.1 billion RMB.
In this year’s work report of Chongqing municipal government, it is proposed to build an innovation ecosphere around universities, which is an important measure to promote the effective connection between universities’ innovation resources and the market, optimize the innovation and entrepreneurship ecology around universities, and promote the transfer and transformation of university research achievements. Chongqing-Medical-University-Circle Innovation Ecosystem is part of promoting the construction of “innovation ecosystem of universities “. With the innovation resources of Chongqing Medical University and its affiliated hospitals as the core, it further gathers innovation elements such as technology, talents, universities and enterprises to build a professional leading platform for incubation and acceleration of international medical innovation projects and promote the transfer and transformation of scientific research results.
Next, the innovation ecology circle of Chongqing medical university will further gather innovation resources, promote the benign interaction between innovation elements, build an internationally competitive innovation ecology of medical and health industry, and facilitate the transformation and upgrading of Chongqing’s medical and health industry structure. In 2-3 years, it will be built into a dynamic medical innovation area, high-end medical service area, perfect medical industry gathering place and venture capital gathering place in the western region.
During the event, WD Asia team communicated with a number of enterprises and investors, which deepened the understanding of domestic medical ecology and further expanded the relationship network in southwest China.
